AC Shadows Reveals Surprising Attack on Titan Crossover for Holiday Season
In a unexpected collaboration that challenges conventional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Revealed
According to the official announcement, "A strange confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of prohibited rituals and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The narrative introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a clandestine cult.
The adventure concentrates on "bizarre tests and a monstrous foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Transformations
The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Bonus Features
Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an unique katana alongside numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
